حوإ¼½م½م professors Erick Agrimson and Katie Campbell, PhD, have been elected . Division Councilors from 13 different divisions serve on CUR’s General Council as volunteers committed to furthering opportunities in collaborative undergraduate research.
Agrimson, associate professor of physics, has been named to the Physics and Astronomy Division. Campbell, associate professor of interprofessional education and director of Collaborative Undergraduate Research at حوإ¼½م½م’s, has been named to the Undergraduate Research Programs Division. They will both serve a three-year term as councilors beginning on July 1.
“At حوإ¼½م½م's, we have a strong commitment to collaborative undergraduate research, recognizing the deep learning that occurs when students work alongside faculty directly in the research process,†said Dianne Oliver, PhD, senior vice president and co-provost. “It is a testament to the leadership of our faculty in this area that two of our very own were selected to serve as national thought and program leaders with CUR.â€
حوإ¼½م½م’s is an institutional member of CUR, an organization committed to supporting and promoting high quality and collaborative undergraduate research, scholarly, and creative activity opportunities for faculty and staff. Each year, students from حوإ¼½م½م’s and around the country are selected to present at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), sharing the work they have completed with faculty mentors.
“CUR is recognizing what we already know — that Katie and Erick are key leaders and wise voices in advancing collaborative research with our students, further educating them to lead and influence,†said Oliver.
