Transfer program provides community college students easy path to bachelors degree.

ż (ż’s) and Inver Hills Community College (IHCC) launched their ż’s Complete pathway program with a signing ceremony today. The program provides new transfer pathways for IHCC students who wish to move on to complete their bachelor’s degree at ż’s.

“ż’s has always had a mission to educate women to lead and influence,” said ReBecca Koenig Roloff ‘76, president of ż. “ż’s Complete is a natural extension of that mission, making a college education a reality for the widest population possible. Inver Hills Community College has spent the past 50 years building a higher education experience with a similar goal: providing broad access to higher education. This opportunity to help students together is a natural synergy between our institutions.”

“We’re pleased to have the opportunity to partner with ż’s,” said Inver Hills interim president Michael Berndt. “We know that Inver Hills graduates are well-prepared to succeed as transfer students and have many great transfer options in the state of Minnesota. The ż’s Complete option is exciting as it will offer them both financial support and a seamless transfer experience.”

ż’s Complete is a program designed to provide students with any easy transitions from community colleges to ż, where they can complete a bachelor’s degree. Both the College for Women and the College for Adults participate in the ż’s Complete program, meaning both women and men may earn a bachelor’s degree at ż’s. IHCC is the latest to join the program, with partnerships already in place at and .

“We have advisors who can help students create a customized transfer plan with a clear pathway, so students only take the courses they need to complete their degrees,” said Jennifer Searles, ż’s Complete transfer coordinator, ż. “We empower our students with skills and knowledge to leave campus prepared to improve their own lives and make a difference in the communities where they live and work.”

The ż’s advisors work from the start with ż’s Complete students to custom-craft a pathway plan that includes both required and recommended courses that apply to both associate and bachelor’s degree programs, making the most of every credit.

ż’s is one of the first nonprofit Universities in the state to offer a seamless and transparent transfer program, with guaranteed admission, that accepts the Associate of Arts and the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum. ż’s Complete includes mapped pathways from Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees into bachelors degrees in fields such as nursing, business, social work, and public health. Additional mapped pathways are continually being built.

ż’s support doesn’t end with the transfer process; the University also offers tutoring and academic support, financial aid, and career counseling to transfer students.
