The National Institutes of Health awarded $376,391 for Innovation in Measurement for Diet-Related Disease Research through a subaward from the University of Minnesota, a $3M grant. Principal Investigator Mary Hearst: Public Health, Ph.D., will address disparities in chronic disease and health inequity by developing an accessible home food environment assessment toolkit to target foods known to impact diet-related health that can be user administered across literacy levels in English and Spanish. The creation of the digital tool was piloted using APDC funding.
