For Catherine Fensom ‘20, Liza Leja ‘20 and Pat Schmatz ‘20, a class project last fall provided an opportunity to live out one of the ż’s core values. Tasked with creating a “social justice action plan” in a class on deaf culture, the three American Sign Language (ASL) students decided to look at police relations with the deaf community.
